Steven Mignogna Serves as Rutgers Law School Guest Lecturer
Archer Partner Steven K. Mignogna recently served as a guest lecturer for the Rutgers Law School course, “Estates and Trusts.” Steve led a discussion on estate and trust law, as well as provided students with career advice and important insight about the legal profession in general. Steve serves as the Chair of Archer’s Estate and Trust Litigation Practice Group and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with a concentration on probate matters, estates, fiduciaries, guardianships and real estate. Steve’s expertise in the field and discussion with the class served as an important resource for the students who are first being introduced to the fundamentals of estates and trusts law.
Steve, a Rutgers Law School alumni, has long been a legal education advocate. He has been a New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) speaker for more than 20 years, and has participated in dozens of seminars on wills, trusts and probate litigation. Steve has also authored, edited and contributed to several NJICLE publications. He is principal author of the treatise, Estate and Trust Litigation and editor and contributing author of The New Jersey Estate Planning Manual and The New Jersey Probate Procedures Book, all published by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Steve is a past recipient of the NJICLE Distinguished Service Award.
Steve is the New Jersey State Chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), as well as serving as Vice Chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee. Steve also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute and is active in the American Bar Association (ABA), where he has held several leadership roles in the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, including serving as Chair of the Litigation, Ethics and Malpractice Group. Recently, Steve was appointed to the Board of Directors of Encore Series, Inc., presenter of The Philly POPS.
