Anthony La Ratta Receives Several Committee Reappointments

Archer Partner, Anthony R. La Ratta, was recently reappointed to the following positions:

Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Standing Committee of National Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries: The National Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries was formed in 1940. It is composed of a small select group of representatives of the American Bar Association and the trust division of the American Bankers Association. It was organized to address matters of common interest between the two associations and to help eliminate controversies giving rise to misunderstandings and litigations between the two groups.

Co-chair of the Camden County Bar Association Probate and Trust Committee: The committee focuses on probate and trust issues. The Camden County Bar Association is New Jersey’s second largest county bar, and is the legal resource for attorneys who practice in Southern New Jersey.

Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Equity Jurisprudence Committee: The Equity Jurisprudence Special Committee provides programs designed to improve the skills of Association members when practicing before the General Equity Courts of New Jersey, and facilitates interaction between the general equity judiciary and the Association.

Vice Chair of Jefferson Health Foundation – New Jersey Board: The Jefferson Health Foundation – New Jersey was created more than five years ago to provide an outlet for the people of the community to give back and help continue to offer the finest healthcare in the region.

Anthony concentrates his practice in the area of Trust & Estate litigation, with an emphasis in litigation involving probate matters, estates, trusts, guardianships, and fiduciaries. He has represented institutions and individuals in a variety of contexts, including banks, corporate fiduciaries, executors, trustees, beneficiaries of estates and trusts, incapacitated persons, surviving spouses, and intestate heirs.  Mr. La Ratta has handled cases involving will contests, undue influence, diminished capacity, contested guardianships, writings intended as wills, breach of fiduciary duty, and accountings of estates and trusts. Anthony is also admitted by the State of New Jersey to the roster of court-approved mediators for probate cases and has been appointed by the courts to assist in resolving such disputes through mediation.
