Jordan Fischer Selected as a Participant in the Board Observer Program of the Philadelphia Bar Association
Attorney Jordan L. Fischer of Archer & Greiner P.C. was recently selected for the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s Board Observer Program, where she will learn about public interest legal services through a pairing with the Board of Directors of the Friends of Chester Arthur School in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Bar Foundation, in partnership with the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD) and Delivery of Legal Services Committee (DLSC), developed the Board Observer Program (BOP) to give young lawyers in Philadelphia the opportunity to learn about local public interest legal service organizations and develop leadership skills necessary for board service and career success. Participants observe board meetings and functions, and participate in committees, programs and planning activities.
The nonprofit Friends of Chester Arthur (FoCA) was formed by parents and community members in the Southwest Center City neighborhood to partner with staff, teachers and students to foster a robust learning environment at the Chester A. Arthur School at 20th and Catharine Streets.
Ms. Fischer practices in Archer & Greiner’s Estate and Trust Litigation Group in the firm’s Philadelphia office as well as at its Haddonfield, N.J., location. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware and her law degree, summa cum laude, from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During law school, Ms. Fischer served on the Board of the International Law and Human Rights Society as well as on the Board of the Drexel Law Review as the Symposium Editor. After graduating, she completed a clerkship for Vice-President Koen Lenaerts of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, the European Union’s highest court in matters of European Union law.
